Although Thule calls this a Carbon Frame Adaptor, we think it would make sense to use it on any frame material you don´t want to be crushed or scratched. The adapter works by distributing pressure over a larger surface, instead of concentrating it to a small area, to minimize the risk of frame damage. It´s easily adjustable, fits over any tube shape, and the soft TPE lining avoids scratching your frame. Thule mandates that it´s only to be used with Thule bike racks with a torque limiter knob such as the ProRide and EasyFold.
