Why We Like The Kahtoola NANOspikes v2 Crampon

When hiking in the snow and ice, having a traction device can significantly improve our comfort and stability on the trails. The Kahtoola NANOspikes v2 Crampon is the answer when we are hiking in winter conditions on flatter, icy trails. Ten tungsten carbide spikes on the bottom of the crampons dig into ice and hard-packed snow for traction. The Thermoplastic Elastomer Harness fits around our shoes or boots and remains elastic down to negative temperatures. A raised heel tab allows for an easy entry and exit even with frozen or gloves hands, and a toe bail adds extra security and restricts our feet from slipping through the front of the harness when descending.
