Its Michelin Outdoor Extreme rubber sole offers 25% better abrasion-resistance as well as 43% improved traction in rivers and on wet stones. Orvis made the sole wider than most boots to provide better stability when the water´s pressing against you, and there are twelve attachments for studs for even greater traction when needed. The Phylon midsole maintains shock absorption while the Orthlite footbed offers cushy comfort. A PU-cage increases structural integrity underwater, and the Clarino microfiber lining dries quickly when you´re hiking back to the car. Orvis reinforced the upper with scratch-resistant rubber at the toe.
