The words "lightweight" and "trekking" don´t normally go together, but Salewa´s new Puez Knit PTX Hiking Shoe is lighter and more cushioned than traditional Alpine trekking shoes. Made for mountainous terrain, the Puez features abrasion-resistant uppers, proprietary PowerTex waterproofing, and a thermoplastic plate that balances stability with flex for both tough trails and fast hikers. This shoe is also part of Salewa´s new Progressive Trekking collection—that means the Puez Knit incorporates natural and recycled materials, such as Salewa´s unique Alpine Hemp midsoles, which mix natural hemp with synthetic fibers made from recycled Salewa apparel for comfortable cushioning that´s more eco-friendly than traditional EVA foam.
