The Blue Ice Blackbird Ice Axe is a classic piolet that provides consistent reliability for beginning mountaineers. The aircraft-grade aluminum shaft feels remarkably light, and Blue Ice added a dual texture for a better grip. There are protectors for the pick, adze, and spike so you don´t punch a hole through your pack on the approach.
