Edelrid´s Absorber Sling adds a lot of safety to many applications in the vertical world that makes most climbers cringe. Edelrid designed it as a belay sling for sport climbing to assist lighter belayers catch heavier climbers without such a harsh impact. In fact, this sling meets the safety standards in accordance to EN 355, so it will absorb shocks caused by the dreadful factor two fall. This adds a lot of safety when you´re climbing multi-pitches where the first piece of pro is farther from the anchor than you would like. Of course, this isn´t a foolproof piece of equipment—be smart and safe every time you climb.
