Why We Like The Ibis Ripmo X0 AXS Transmission Carbon Wheel Mountain Bike

Ibis pulled out all the stops, giving us a new Ripmo littered with updates and improvements for more capability. With a redesigned frame shape, updated rear travel, and revised geometry, the Ripmo looks more like a smaller HD6 than a Ripmo. Ibis equipped the Ripmo with mixed-wheel compatibility for all sizes via a wheel-size flip chip and fitted the smaller sizes with mixed wheels and the larger sizes with 29-inch wheels for the best fit. Talking about fit, Ibis redesigned their sizing range, giving us five sizes with a new "Extra Medium" size in the middle of their range to better accommodate more riders. On top of that, the Ripmo´s geometry was also revamped, giving every rider a more agile ride with size-specific chainstays, seat tube angles, and bottom bracket heights. Now equipped with 150mm of DW-Link suspension, the Ripmo gets a small boost in rear travel to maintain its all-mountain prowess, and its head tube angle and wheelbase are also slightly slacker and longer for more confidence going downhill. To wrap it all together, Ibis released their new internal frame storage system on us, complete with a unique lever-action door and special-edition frame bags.

The X0 Transmission Carbon Wheel build of the Ripmo is top-notch and deploys carbon wheels and an electronic drivetrain for absolute dominance on the trails. Ibis equips every build of the Ripmo with the same premium carbon frame, giving us optimal stiffness and precise handling all over the mountain. SRAM´s X0 Transmission drivetrain ensures flawless shifting in any scenario and features a near-bombproof design. Ibis gave the Ripmo Fox´s new Float 36 Factory GripX fork for all-mountain capability and a Factory Float X rear shock to throw down gripping traction in the steepest trails. Industry Nine carbon wheels and hubs round out this build, ensuring a smooth and precise ride feel.
