Why We Like The Santa Cruz Highball CC X0 AXS Transmission Carbon Wheel Mountain Bike

Combining a super lightweight frame, 29-inch wheels, and capable geometry, the Santa Cruz Highball CC is a versatile cross-country hardtail designed to excel all over the trails. Dual 29-inch wheels roll over trail obstacles and carry our speed efficiently, while the rigid rear end has us flying up climbs and covering ground quickly. The Highball deploys an offset seat stay design to eliminate vibration and energy transfer through the rear end, giving us more capability and confidence in technical terrain. A 67-degree headtube angle offers a pretty slack front end, considering the Highball is designed around a 100mm fork and gives us the best balance of downhill stability and fast handling. Another highlight of the Highball is the small-diameter seat tube and low-slung top tube, offering a softer feel, room to fit longer seat posts, and dropper post compatibility. The Highball is finished off with downtube and chainstay protection, three water mounts in the front triangle, and sleek and silent internally-guided cable routing.

The X0 Transmission AXS carbon wheel build of the Santa Cruz Highball is top-tier and equipped with the best components, including electronic shifting and carbon wheels. First up is the super lightweight Carbon CC frame, boasting incredible stiffness, reliability, and performance at a sub-three-pound weight. Next, we have SRAM´s X0 Transmission AXS drivetrain, giving us flawless shifting performance and a durable construction for peace of mind. Taking this build to the next level is the Reserve 28 XC rims fitted with DT Swiss 350 hubs for race-ready performance. The RockShox SID SL Ultimate 100mm fork is designed for racing and sports a super lightweight build, tons of tuning adjustments, and a 3-position, handlebar-mounted remote lockout for climbing efficiency. This build is finished with SRAM´s Level Silver Stealth 4-piston brakes for incredible stopping power and supple Maxxis Rekon Race tires.
