Why We Like The Specialized Epic Evo GX Eagle Exclusive Mountain Bike

Whether it´s quick after-work spins or long weekend rides, the Specialized Epic Evo is one ofthe Herd´s most traveled bikes. The Epic Evo is the rowdier version of the race-ready Specialized Epic and is more focused on the side hits rather than the straight-line speed. The Epic Evo has 110mm of FSR suspension and is designed to be fitted with a 120mm fork to take on more advanced trails. It also features a 66.5-degree head tube angle for exceptional stability and confidence on steeper trails, while the longer wheelbase, reach, and chainstays across all sizes ensure more stability and handling at high speeds and in rough terrain. A flip chip on the rear shock allows us to slacken out the bottom bracket height and head tube angle for more confidence on bigger days, and size-specific seat tube angles give us a more balanced fit. The Epic Evo is finished off with integrated frame protection, two water bottle mounts, and silent internal cable routing.

The SRAM GX Eagle Exclusive build of the Specialized Epic Evo was strategically picked by our Gearhead® Experts to give us the most out on the trails. First up, the FACT 11m carbon fiber frame delivers a stiff, lightweight, and agile chassis to shred on. SRAM´s GX drivetrain brings us precise shifting, a proven track record, and a wide gear range for technical performance on the trails. The SRAM G2 RSC 4-piston brakes have us stopping on a dime, and the Specialized Control and Fast Trak tires ensure low rolling resistance and grip all over the trail. This build is equipped with a RockShox SID Ultimate Race Day, 3-position, 120mm fork for top-tier suspension performance, giving us a super adjustable fork and a 3-position lockout for climbing efficiency. The RockShox Super Deluxe+ rear shock soaks up trail chatter and throws down tons of gripping traction to keep us locked to the ground. Lastly, lightweight 29-inch Roval Control alloy rims are durable and are paired with DT Swiss 350 hubs for quality performance and engagement.
