Why We Like The Pivot Mach 4 SL Pro X0 T-Type Carbon Wheel Mountain Bike

The Mach 4 SL is a blend between an XC race bike and a downcountry play bike, combining race-bred efficiency and suspension kinematics with adjustable travel and aggressive geometry for more power all over the mountain. Pushing the boundaries to make the Mach 4 SL more capable, Pivot significantly improved suspension travel, geometry, and frame features to take the Mach 4 SL supersonic. A slacker 66.7-degree head tube angle and a longer reach and chainstays ensure stability and confidence on progressive trails. A steeper seat tube helps combat the geometry changes for the same efficient climbing we love. The Mach 4 also gets a boost in travel and now has 106mm of DW-Link suspension to match the ever-progressing XC courses. On top of that, a flip chip in the rear shock link changes the travel from 106mm to 115mm, allowing us to transform our ride from racer to ripper in mere minutes. The improved DW-Link suspension and redesigned rocker link bring efficient pedaling performance and enhanced traction in various scenarios. The Mach 4 frame is finished off with three water bottle mounts, Pivot´s tool dock system, internal cable routing, integrated frame protection at the chainstays and downtube, and SRAM´s UDH system for easy compatibility.

The Pro X0 Transmission AXS Carbon Wheel build of the Pivot Mach 4 SL is fit for a pro and equips us with top-tier components and an upgraded carbon wheelset. It all starts with the frame-Pivot is known for their top-tier carbon frames-sporting a lightweight, durable, and nimble chassis to shred on. Next, SRAM´s X0 Transmission AXS drivetrain ensures flawless electronic shifting and super durable construction for peace of mind on the trails. This build features upgraded Reynolds Blacklabel rims paired with Industry Nine Hydra hubs for premium handling and fast engagement on technical trails. A Fox Factory Float rear shock equips us with a lightweight but super capable rear shock, sporting all the tuning adjustments we need to set it up just right. The Fox Factory 34 Step-Cast 120mm fork combines beefed up 34mm stanchion with a lightweight and race-ready body for the best of both worlds. Maxxis Rekon/Rekon Race tires round off this build, offering exceptional grip in a lightweight, fast-rolling package.
