Inspired by the all-around versatility of the Ikon, Maxxis´ eager Rekon 3C/EXO/TR Tire was made to venture off smooth hardpack and onto more technical trail and all-mountain environs. This beefed-up version of a classic comes with a fast-rolling 120 TPI and capable triple-compound construction that will keep you and your nimble XC steed skipping over singletrack built for bikes far beastlier than yours.

To equip the Rekon for chunkier terrain, Maxxis combines wide center knobs with L-shaped side knobs to give you grip and control while braking and stability when you´re railing around tacky berms. You already know your overachieving 120mm XC bike can handle its fair share of bumps, so with the Rekon´s EXO reinforcement, you´ll be able to steer straight onto the more technical lines and downhill-only trails knowing your frame is backed up by some seriously tough rubber.
