Why We Like The Santa Cruz Skitch CC Apex e-Bike

Wherever our adventures take us, having a bike that can excel on the asphalt and dirt is a huge plus. Now imagine that the same bike that can excel on various terrains can also take us further and faster, causing us to expend less energy and have more fun. Santa Cruz made that pipe dream a reality with the Skitch, an E-gravel bike with a lightweight Fauza60 drive system that keeps the weight to a minimum while providing all-day power. The Skitch is the latest edition to Santa Cruz´s lineup and is the powered version of Santa Cruz´s new Stigmata gravel bike. With a 430Wh battery, 28mph top speed, a 100-kilometer range, and three individual drive modes, the Skitch is so efficient it provides the same range as a full-power e-MTB but at a much lighter weight. Each mode can be customized in the Fauza app for complete personalization, and a super quick 3.5-hour charge time means we don´t have to worry about charging our bike the night before. A 69-degree head tube angle keeps us under control on steeper dirt trails without losing sight of its precise handling when we are back on flat ground. 700c tires give us tons of efficiency and straight-line speed, and a 50mm tire clearance allows us to run wider tires for more traction when the road turns to dirt. No matter whether we are going on an al day adventure or just cruising the bike paths with a bit of off-road adventure here and there, the Santa Cruz Skitch is the answer.

The Apex build of the Santa Cruz Skitch gives us a reliable 12-speed drivetrain, drop bars for all-around capability, and quality components. Every build of the Skitch features Santa Cruz´s premium Carbon CC frame for a super lightweight and stiff frame as well as a carbon CC fork to keep the weight to an absolute minimum. SRAM´s Apex 12-speed drivetrain gives us a reliable drivetrain with a massive 10-50-tooth gear range for getting us up any climb. WTB EZR i23p rims paired with DT Swiss 370 hubs give us a super durable and quality wheelset ready to take on any adventure, and SRAM´s Apex brakes, give us tons of stopping power without the extra weight. For uncompromising speed and rolling efficiency, every build of the Skitch is fitted with Schwalbe G-One Overland Evo, 700 x 45c tires, allowing us to maintain our speed whether we are on the dirt or asphalt. Finally, Zipp´s Service Course 70 XPLR aluminum bar gives us a tucked and aero pedaling position to maximize our speed and efficiency around town and on the trails.
