Why We Like The Pivot Shuttle SL Team XTR Carbon Wheel e-Bike

Pivot is known for high-performance mountain bikes, and the Shuttle SL EMTB is no different. The first things we noticed about the Shuttle SL were its low weight and crisp handling. Utilizing Pivot´s full carbon hollow core frame construction and the 9.3lb FAZUA Ride 60 system, Pivot was able to create a super light trail EMTB that rides almost exactly like our favorite analog trail bike. The Shuttle SL is ready for big days out on the trail where smashing climbs and sending side hits are both on the menu. 132mm of Fox Factory-supported DW-Link rear travel paired with the 60Nm motor offers up plenty of power and pop to throw the bike around on all the new features we find out there without sacrificing traction when the trail gets steep. And although it´s nearly impossible to fully drain the battery, if we find ourselves miles from the trailhead with no juice left, the Shuttle SL is virtually drag-free with the pedal assist turned off.

The premium Shuttle SL Team XTR build is all about sending new lines and having fun on the trail. The 12-speed XTR drivetrain brings the ultra-smooth, reliable shifting that we expect from Shimano to a lightweight package that doesn´t sacrifice any gear range. An Ebike-tuned Fox Factory 36 fork with 150mm of travel supports the front end to absorb those big hits on the descent, while a set of 29er Reynolds Blacklabel carbon wheels laced to Industry Nine Hydra hubs make sure we can roll over just about anything. When we find ourselves having to stop on a dime or dump speed quickly, 4-piston Shimano XTR brakes bolstered by a 203mm rotor up front and a 180mm rotor in the rear provide plenty of stopping power. A proper trail bike wouldn´t be complete without a solid dropper post, and the Fox Transfer Factory Series offers ultra-reliable modulation to get the saddle out of the way for techy rock gardens and rowdy descent. The Pivot Shuttle SL Team XTR is made to handle like a trail bike, but it´s ready to take us to lines we´ve only seen in our dreams.
