When we´re not quite sure what to expect at the resort, or the conditions at the top of the hill are far different than those at the bottom, we clip into the Volkl Revolt 104 Ski. The surfy skis thread the needle between a big-mountain battler and freestyle thrasher, allowing us to take on big lines in the sidecountry while finding every launch pad on the way down. The balanced 104mm waist gives us confidence on groomers and in deep powder, and the soft flex encourages us to find our own way down the mountain with plenty of room for creativity. The rocker in the tip and tail keeps us afloat as we drive hard through the deep stuff, and camber underfoot lets us carve hard when conditions are firm. Capped off by the damp and durable poplar and beech core, the Revolt 104 is a ski we can trust all season long.
