There´s a time and a place for paper thin, super stiff carbon fiber. And it´s not necessarily on gravel bikepacking epics. Instead, Easton´s EA50 AX Road Handlebar pushes the limits on what a handlebar can handle. It´s a bit heavier than the EA70 model (Easton claims an extra 35g for the 42), but it´s also much more amenable to the hard knocks life of the road less travelled. It´s got a shallower drop and more flair than proper road race bars, which makes the drops more stable for rides that aren´t just on smooth tarmac.
