When we need a pair of sticks that can handle big mountain terrain, but we don´t want to sacrifice our playful, freestyle approach, we pick the blackcrows Anima Ski out of our quiver. The freestyle-inspired skis let us pivot down tight chutes and launch off steep cliffs, with twin tips so we can stomp switch landings. The 115mm waist is forgiving in deep powder, and the stiff, progressive flex combines with the carbon laminate to allow us to roll through chop the way we expect a big-mountain ski should. On days when conditions gets soft and light after big storms, the low swing weight of the semi-cap construction and poplar core allow us to move nimbly across the mountain, popping off every natural feature that we can find.
