Why We Like The Jackson Kayak Knarr Fishing Kayak

Built for big water and big fish, the Jackson Knarr Fishing Kayak is one gnarly boat. Developed with input from offshore, inshore, and tournament anglers, the hull is designed for speed, stability, tracking, and handling on oceans and large lakes. Beyond that specialized hull, the Knarr is feature-rich from bow to stern. The bow features a flat surface that´s just begging for a bow-mount trolling motor (not included) with a large hatch for storing the battery or extra gear. Likewise, the stern is shaped for a stern-mound motor (not included) with a bait tank and security bars to strap down batteries, coolers, and tackle. Those motors are nice, but not necessary since this kayak features the Flex Drive Mark IV peddle drive for fast and quiet propulsion that keeps our hands free for fishing.

The cockpit is customized for anglers. Traction pads offer us slip-free fishing from a standing position, and the EZ Hi-Lo seating system lets us lift or lower the seat by lifting the front and dropping the seat into either peddling or fishing position. Our fish finder fits easily with a convenient scupper hole and protective transducer cover, and we also have easy, in-boat access to our prop to keep it free of weeds and line. The boat´s molded geometry and TriTrack channels let us install our electronics and hide all cables to keep our fishing and peddling space clutter-free. The kayak holds 6-8 fishing rods with two flush-mounted rod holders, three rod tubes on each side of the boat, and a TriLock Side Stager that pairs with the rod tubes to elevate our rods and keep them easily accessible. The improved steering system allows for more responsive turns with two easy knobs that we can use with either hand to turn the rudder. On top of all that, there´s plenty of cooler and tackle storage, security bars and rails for tie-downs and accessory mounting, and several included accessories, including a red safety flag, a stand-assist strap, a YakAttack Omega Rod Holder, an Orion side mount cup holder, and the new Jackson Kayak multi-box for tackle and tool storage.
