The fiberglass shaft keeps our swing-weight and costs lower while the laminated fir core paddle blade features edges reinforced with Northern Ash and a metal spline in the tip for better durability. The "Stubby" blade size cuts down our shaft length by six inches for running oars on smaller boats and cutting down our swing weight.
