Most spikes like this one fit hiking shoes and trail running shoes alike, but the addition of a softshell toe cover gives trail running shoes a more secure fit and additional weather protection. The Distance Spike includes 14 stainless steel spikes for improved traction on icy surfaces. It only weighs 4 ounces and can pack into pockets on most running vests.
