La Sportiva´s Ridgeline mountaineering boot is especially made for post-fire cleanup and forest management. Its burly build supports wildland firefighters and forestry workers who are carrying heavy packs over rugged terrain, while a series of special features protect against extreme conditions, such as a heat-resistant sole that resists temps up to 482°F, heat-resistant heel and toe counters, fire-resistant laces and thread made from Nomex, and an 8-inch ankle collar that meets federal standards for wildland firefighters.
